Together, these teams align NBCUniversal's content and production expertise to inspire global audiences with television that entertains and shapes culture.<br /> <br /> Job Description<br /> <br /> The Publicist will generate maximum exposure for Universal Studio Group original projects with a focus on series showrunners, BTL, awards editorial, and talent relations. The series include scripted and unscripted television, co-productions, and podcasts. The position reports into a senior member of the Communications team for Universal Studio Group.<br /> <br /> Responsibilities:<br /> • Under the leadership of supervisor, work with network and distribution partners to create and implement unique and strategic PR campaigns for assigned series<br /> • Support studio PR le on priority projects which includes, but is not limited to:<br /> • Identify press opportunities for below-the-line creatives, showrunners, and executive producers<br /> • Service daily media requests<br /> • Coordinate appearances for electronic interviews, photo and video shoots, as well as industry and press events<br /> • Contribute to award strategy campaigns for assigned series<br /> • Position series for awards consideration with key press and industry influencers<br /> • Provide talent and executive producers with media training as needed<br /> • Serve as a talent relations liaison for the studio, which includes talent logistics for awards, booking hair, make and cars, start of production gifts, booking studio panels, assembling itineraries, etc.<br /> • Maintain budget trackers for assigned projects<br /> • Work with talent representatives to organize logistics for festivals, awards shows, etc.<br /> • Monitor competitive environment via daily review of competitive/industry news and podcasts<br /> • Monitor and pull press coverage of assigned show titles<br /> • Identify and share press clippings about industry business news<br /> • Work with network and distribution partners to help plan press events (junkets, red carpets, press screenings, panels, speaking opportunities, etc.)<br /> • Collaborate with the marketing team on awards campaigns, including gathering assets for microsite, various , panels, etc.<br /> • Collaborate with Corp Comms on executive opportunities and studio announcements and initiatives<br /> • Develop and maintain relations with key press (long lead magazines, weeklies, trade publications, major dailies, blogs, and other digital outlets)<br /> • Support supervisor in crafting strategies around projects, including series, library titles, and overall deals<br /> • Create and update team documents<br /> • Copy editing written materials<br /> • Be willing to step in and help colleagues and the team whenever needed<br /> <br /> Qualifications<br /> <br /> Basic Requirements:<br /> • Bachelor's Degree<br /> • 3+ years of entertainment publicity experience, preferably at a studio<br /> <br /> Desired Characteristics:<br /> • Knowledge of pitching, booking, and covering national and local media interviews<br /> • Have established relationships with the Television Press, Trade, Awards and Guild Press<br /> • Exhibit strong interpersonal and presentation skills<br /> • Willingness to learn<br /> • Self-motivated and a self-starter<br /> • Ability to work both independently and with a team<br /> • Ability to juggle and meet numerous deadlines and identify press opportunities<br /> • Proactive master multi-tasker and creative/strategic thinker<br /> • Open to feedback<br /> • Exhibit strong external and internal communication skills<br /> • Experience working on scripted and/or unscripted series<br /> • Superior organization and creative skills<br /> • Strong written and verbal communications skills<br /> <br /> Additional Requirements:<br /> • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
